Funding Availability for Exhibitors
Business Gateway have indicated that in some Scottish regions there is help to be had with funding exhibition expenses, although it depends upon your circumstances, and the BG office concerned.
It's well worth contacting your local branch to have a discussion about funding towards exhibiting at Aviemore.
The ethos of Business Gateway is to provide practical help, advice and support for new and growing businesses in Scotland so this funding should be available whether you are exhibiting for the first time or are well established.
I have been told by Donald MacKenzie that there are grants available to those in the Highlands and Islands, but each person has to make the approach themselves, and each case is taken on its own merits. Exhibitors are encouraged to speak to their local contacts to see what's available. They may get help towards the cost of their stand, and possibly travel, but it's not set in stone.

For exhibitors outwith Highlands & Islands area it's a different story - apparently H&I has money available for small businesses, whereas other Business Gateways don't - although it is worth while to make contact with your local office and explore possibilities. IO have been told that it works differently in H&I because of the rural economy.
